This document explains Connecticut Voices for Children’s (“Connecticut Voices”) policies for the collection, use and disclosure of personal information.  For more details on our privacy policy for donors, see our donor confidentiality and privacy policy and procedures.

The information we collect and how we use this information
Connecticut Voices collects information by various methods including information actively provided by its website visitors.

E-mail newsletter signup page: We request information from the user on our newsletter signup page. A user may provide their name, email, and/or mailing address to receive news and other information via email and/or postal mail.

Registration forms.  We use a registration form for our HUSKY Eligibility Manual to gather contact information for people who register to download this manual. We also gather contact information via e-mail or printed registration forms for events, such as meetings and public forums.  We use this information to inform users of the HUSKY Eligibility Manual when we make updates to this publication and to provide information about our events.

Donations.  Connecticut Voices gathers contact information from donors via our online donation form and through mailed donor forms.  Name, address and other contact information will be used to provide donors with information regarding Connecticut Voices’ activities including reports on new research, the status of ongoing policy debates, special events, fundraising needs, and to acknowledge donations.  For complete details on our privacy policy for donors, see our donor confidentiality and privacy policy and procedures.

Google Analytics: This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”).  Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States . Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage.  Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Connecticut Voices respects the privacy of our website visitors. We protect personal information. We do not rent, sell or trade our mailing or e-mail lists. Name, address and other contact information will be used to provide visitors with information regarding Connecticut Voices’ activities, including reports on new research and policy analysis, the status of ongoing policy debates, events, and fundraising needs.  Connecticut Voices may provide personal information to its consultants, subcontractors and professional advisers (which shall be bound by privacy obligations) to assist with communicating with our visitors.

Opt-out and updating personal information
