The information we collect and how we use this information
Connecticut Voices collects information by various methods including information actively provided by its website visitors.
E-mail newsletter signup page: We request information from the user on our newsletter signup page. A user may provide their name, email, and/or mailing address to receive news and other information via email and/or postal mail.
Registration forms. We use a registration form for our HUSKY Eligibility Manual to gather contact information for people who register to download this manual. We also gather contact information via e-mail or printed registration forms for events, such as meetings and public forums. We use this information to inform users of the HUSKY Eligibility Manual when we make updates to this publication and to provide information about our events.
Connecticut Voices respects the privacy of our website visitors. We protect personal information. We do not rent, sell or trade our mailing or e-mail lists. Name, address and other contact information will be used to provide visitors with information regarding Connecticut Voices’ activities, including reports on new research and policy analysis, the status of ongoing policy debates, events, and fundraising needs. Connecticut Voices may provide personal information to its consultants, subcontractors and professional advisers (which shall be bound by privacy obligations) to assist with communicating with our visitors.
Opt-out and updating personal information
Electronic newsletters sent by Connecticut Voices provide recipients with the opportunity to opt-out of future automated communications. If at any time a user wishes to update his/her contact information to stop receiving our communications from Connecticut Voices, he or she may do so by contacting Connecticut Voices by phone at 203-498-4240 or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Changes to this policy
Connecticut Voices may amend this policy from time to time by posting an updated version on our website.
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order, or legal process served on our website.
