About Covering Connecticut’s Kids and Families
Connecticut Voices for Children is the lead agency for the Covering Connecticut's Kids and Families (CCKF) initiative, a statewide coalition of state agencies and organizations concerned with access to health care for children and their parents.

Currently, CT Voices coordinates statewide meetings of the CCKF member organizations where information about HUSKY Health and related health care issues is shared. These meetings are open to all organizations interested in HUSKY enrollment and access issues. CT Voices also manages an e-mail listserv to help the Coalition and other interested persons or groups keep abreast of health care issues affecting families and children.

Coalition members:

  • Provide outreach through established groups such as schools, child care providers, pediatric care providers, the business community, and social service providers;
  • Provide technical assistance and support to local outreach efforts;
  • Work to maintain and expand HUSKY enrollment simplification and renewal processes;
  • Provide feedback to policy makers on the effects of premiums and other cost-sharing on HUSKY families and those served by other state health coverage programs; and
  • Ensure that organizations are informed about the effect of national health reform on the  HUSKY program.
