We invite you to join us for a forum featuring youth experts, social workers, and policymakers about ways to ensure smoother placement changes – transitions for foster children and youth between foster homes, group homes, and other residential placements. This event will provide an opportunity to:

  • Listen to youth sharing their stories and ideas.
  • Learn about the impacts of placement changes on youth in care.
  • Discuss how policy and practice change can help promote youth well-being, placement stability, and strong relationships by decreasing the turbulence for youth moving in and out of foster homes, group homes, and other placements.

Participants will include two panels of youth, the Commissioner of the Department of Children and Families, and state policymakers. As panelists are finalized, we will make their names available on our website.

Please RSVP online here to reserve your seat. Please email Nicole Updegrove at with any questions.
